Embracing the new year with a hot cup o’ joe + a cozy look. It’s back to the grind + I am invigorated + ready to kick ass in 2019! I have to be honest, 2018 was pretty freaking amazing up until NYE (let’s just say I got not so great news just hours before ringing in the new year while I was in bed sick ugh) but luckily my boo, always thinking positively got me excited for a new year, a new chapter + a new me!!
I am not one for New Year’s resolutions but I do have a few:
1. Kick ass in business
2. Continue to grow the blog
3. Travel more
5. Continue to loose weight (thanks to Jenny Craig)
6. Think positive + exude happiness, as my boo likes to say…You get what you give and in 2019 I am giving all good vibes in hopes of receiving the same back!
And of course…share more of my favorite outfits, products, tips + tricks…starting with this chic winter look!
My goal for winter is to share more warm weather looks. Since I am in LA I tend to rock dresses + comfy clothes year round + I realized in order to relate to everyone else in the world, I need to go back to my NY routes + share some chilly weather ensembles.
Happy Monday ya’ll! I hope you all had a great weekend – I spent mine doing loads of laundry from London + getting some much needed beauty rest (traveling just takes the life out of me – anyone else have this struggle?) From unpacking, to cleaning, to some much needed self love (I got the best facial which you should check out on my instastory – the brand is from France + is beyond amazing!!) this weekend was pure bliss.
This look was shot while Mike + I were exploring Tower Bridge in London. While temps were a bit chilly, there was ONE day it wasn’t raining which made it a great day to wear this Shein cape. I loved this cape for London because it was easy to layer over a dress, blouse or sweater. For a gal that gets hot constantly (pretty sure I am 25 going on 60 in terms of menopause haha) it is the perfect piece to have in your wardrobe!
When traveling, packing pieces that are versatile is key. This black dress is great for a evening out or a casual day around town (plus with the various ways you can style it, it is a no brainer)!
Another versatile must have to always bring when traveling? Killer sunnies like these blue mirrored Raybans, they just go with everything – they will be in my carry on for Mike + I’s Florida trip to Disney next month!
I LOVE these black over the knee boots. I have been wearing them all winter…they were comfy to walk all around London in (and trust me, that is A LOT of walking haha) + they are chic to wear with any outfit!
They come in regular size + also wide width – perfect for if you have muscular calves like me haha 😛
My bag is the ever so coveted, Louis Vuitton Pouchette Metis…unfortunately it is still waitlist only but if you sign up, I assure you, it is WELL worth the wait!
So tell me, which winter trends have you been all about this season?
But first…coffee (scratch that…to be quite honest I start each and every day with a Venti iced green tea from Starbucks…unsweetened of course…typical white girl…oops) but I mean coffee as in ‘Coffee Shop‘, the great brand who makes this stylish leopard coat I am wearing today! This past week has been the true beginning of winter weather. Snow on the ground, a chill in the air and wind that practically swept me right off my feet…this weather calls for a warm, cozy and fashionable coat…in comes Coffee Shop.
This brand reached out to me right before the Holiday Season and I couldn’t wait to work with them. They make everything from Moto Jackets, to Pea Coats, to Wool Coats and Bomber Jackets…they are now my one stop shop for unique and trendy coats that won’t break the bank (which is always in style in my book!)
P.S. Coffee Shop wants you guys to give them a shot and receive 20% off while doing it! Just use the code ‘MISSY20‘ at checkout!Naturally when they told me to pick my favorite I had to opt for a little lady like leopard 😉 I always want to be a little feisty and I added to this sassy look by adding even MOREleopard with this great Kelsi Dagger leopard leather bag. And call me crazy but when I think ‘leopard‘ I think sexy and with sexy in winter comes…over the knee boots…aka these black suede over the knee boots that I scored for under $30 (here)…yes ladies you heard me under $30 at Target…Seriously this was one of my most exciting buys within the past few weeks! So while I am not a fan of the cold temperatures I must admitt it was kinda fun to have a little white snow on the ground while shooting looks over the weekend. And yes…I was freezing while shooting each and every outfit…at one point my poor brother’s hands turned pink from holding the camera out in the cold…but nonetheless new outfits were shot, and Missy is still able to share her stylish journey…no matter what the weather outside may be!| Click To Shop My Look |
