R e d + B l a c k for Valentine’s Day? #Groundbreaking :p With V-Day being tomorrow and 1 more red look in my iPhoto library that meant it was time to share it! Nothing screams V-Day like red pumps + a red bag…especially paired with a ‘Little Black Outfit‘♥ I actually didn’t go for the LBD (crazy, I know) so instead I opted for a black floral top and an easy to mix + match black scuba skirt!Nothing makes editing photos quite as enjoyable as finding funny shots like this one haha That’s the joy of shooting with friends :p Let me break down my look — this top is a combination of Faux Leather + a Floral Print…such a fun combo! And my skirt can match with anything which is always a Win / Win!
Black Out…Nothing I love more than an all black chic look for fall. I have been loving the sleeveless vest trend, so when Go Jane sent me this beige one I figured I would let it take center stage paired with an all black outfit 😉 Since I always like a little color with every outfit, this colorful backdrop (which is actually the outside of a Mexican restaurant located at the bottom of the Hollywood Hills) was perfect to brighten up this dark look! This sleeveless vest is a piece I will be wearing for the rest of fall and even winter. Layer it over a blouse, sweater or even a crop top like this one and it makes an otherwise simple look, more ‘put together’.
“In New York you are always looking for a job, a boyfriend or an apartment” said the ever so fabulous Carrie Bradshaw. Now while I would like to think I have a little ‘Carrie’ in me, that quote from SATC is a little different for me…replace ‘job‘ with a new pair of shoes + replace ‘apartment‘ with a great place to shoot an outfit post 😉 (we can keep the search for a boyfriend for now haha). So when I got this black tulle skirt from Bliss Tulle in the mail, I knew it was meant to be shot at one of Carrie’s favorite spots…the New York Public Library! Any opportunity I get to channel SJP I do it!
Today’s post isn’t just about my love for Carrie Bradshaw, I am sharing a great NEW giveaway with you all to get you the perfect ‘Pop Of Color’ for spring 😉 You can Enter To Win the red satchel I am wearing! Perfect way to prep for spring weather huh? <3
Happy Thursday loves! So this past outfit shoot I decided to listen to the advice of my friends and fellow bloggers and try some photos without sunglasses…just me and the eyes to my sole haha…not really but you get my point. Anyways…Holy Chic, I’m a bit obsessed with this tee from Old Navy, especially because it is on sale now for $10! I love a ‘Look For Less’! Although I opted for a ‘Black & White’ look with my black Forever 21 skater skirt with leather trim and black Steve Madden pumps, I had to add a little extra something…NEON! I found this BCBG neon clutch at Last Call Neiman Marcus (similar available here) and I fell in love!I also wanted to add a little snazz with this rose necklace. Fun Fact…my middle name is rose, a rose for Melissa Rose 🙂 On a side note, I began free lancing for this amazing site called Toovia…has all my favorite things wrapped into one…style, fashion, food, music…you name it they got it…including amazing shopping! Check out my first article ‘10 Pieces To Wear For Date Night‘ 🙂 Shop My Look <3
Happy Monday Loves! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend of rest and relaxation like myself. I re-designed my site…what do you guys think?! I’d love to hear your feedback! So I spent a majority of my weekend on my computer by the pool attempting to teach myself coding, html and web design…it went so so haha Occasionally you have to call in the big guns, so maybe that’ll be happening soon (I love change…don’t you?) Something else I totally love is today’s outfit post. Simple, professional and totally chic…you can never go wrong with a black skirt and a fun printed top, like this leopard button down I’m wearing. I do love animal print, but in good taste…I don’t think I can handle the amount of leopard Snooki used to rock (I prefer her current style…she’s killin it, thank god Jersey Shore days are over!) I’m currently obsessed with this black scuba skirt from Target, which is on sale for $8 btw…not kidding! I also found a similar skirt minus the drop waist style available from Topshop now! My shoes are an Old Navy find…they are also my current obsession, I feel like they go with every outfit and I know I’ve been posting them a lot lately #sorrynotsorry 😉 Block sandals are a huge trend this season and I believe they will be transitioned into the fall season as well…as a matter of fact my whole look can be a fall office ensemble! My bag is from Dominie Luxury and I’ve received countless compliments on it. Just yesterday a lady at the nail salon asked me to write down the brand and style so she can purchase it…good thing I carry ‘Missy On Madison’ cards 😉 Spice up your workday wardrobe with a little leopard…I dare you 😉 Shop My Look <3
