Nothing says it’s almost time for the weekend quite like a casual look shot in Venice 😉 I have been stressed beyond belief with work and apartment hunting (every one is telling me I am on the hunt way too early but hey, finding the perfect place ain’t easy!) It reminds me of one of Carrie Bradshaw’s famous lines from Sex and The City ‘In New York you’re always looking for a job, a boyfriend or an apartment‘. Well guess what…same applies to LA haha 😉 Finding the best of everything takes time (especially for me who chooses to #NeverSettle)

For example, finding the best when it comes to dating (ha)…total challenge. LA is the place of everyone trying to sound better than they are, fake careers, stories etc. An account I am completely obsessed with that sums it all up is @OverheardLA! I started following it a couple of months ago and am constantly tagging my friends in the posts…I mean legit blows The Fat Jewish out of the water (especially because the statements are so truly LA)!

Similar to dating, apartment hunting is also deceiving, confusing and occasionally disappointing. Photos online may look great…then in person, not so much haha All about timing and location, if it’s meant to be it’ll be (kinda funny how that same motto typically applies to dating right? :p) Any who…one thing I find meant to be…was scoring this Olive Green Vest from Burlington…on sale for just $15! Y A Y!

Woohoo and cheers for the weekend! I have been seriously anticipating the arrival of the weekend because I am ready for some spring vibes and sunshine 😉 Who is with me on that?! I can’t wait to shoot looks without totally freezing myself to bits and I definitely have seeing James Franco and Jonah Hill’s new movie ‘True Story‘ on the agenda for the weekend…the trailer has totally sucked me in! Plus staring at Jonah Hill and James Franco for two hours is pretty much a guaranteed way to have a splendid weekend haha!

Another reason I am anxious for the weekend? The fact that it’ll be warm enough to wear more of my favorite skater skirts like I am in today’s post! If I could wear skirts and dresses everyday of the week I would. I hate wearing pants…I prefer to show a little leg and feel girly at all times what can I say…I am a dork from time to time :p

It’s no secret that I have a slight obsession with color…and by color I mean anything that’ll stand out and truly make a statement, maybe even a little pop? 😉 One of my current colors I am crushing on is red…I am on the hunt for a new red bag (if you have any helpful tips or suggestions PLEASE let me know…I can’t seem to find a bag that makes me ‘fall in love’ haha) and here I am wearing a red sweater and red booties in the dead of winter (yes I was freezing while shooting this)!My red pullover sweater was a Target find (hey if I have to wear sweaters all winter long it may as well be a cute one!) and my red suede booties were and Old Navy find (similar here).

With the red comes a hint of black (I love red + black together) so I paired my red pieces with this black Topshop for Nordstrom floppy hat and black skater skirt from Kohls (Both pieces on sale now!)

And of course…the handbag. I am actually selling this ostrich clutch on my Poshmark (here) but found a similar one in a different color from Yes Style (here).

PS I am super excited because I decided to take a last minute trip to Disney for my Birthday (which is Feb.3rd btw)! I can’t wait to escape this cold winter weather and to have some fun with Mickey & Minnie 🙂

Leopard + Fringe…

Happy Tuesday Lovers! It may be snowing here in NY but I’m still reminiscing about some of my favorite fall looks…like this little leopard number! This leopard cardigan (similar style…mine is not longer available) is my current obsession for fall…cozy, warm and guess what? It has a nice ‘pop’ of orange in addition to a chic leopard print…what more can a gal ask for for the cold weather months? To make the orange in the cardigan ‘pop‘ even more, I opted to wear a neon orange top underneath (the one I am wearing is from Old Navy and ~~no longer available~~). I found a cute orange chiffon blouse that’s work appropriate as well from Last Call Neiman Marcus here.If it wasn’t already obvious…even in the coldest of temperatures, I still love to wear a skirt…especially a skater skirt like this one. A black skater skirt is an essential for every fashionistas because it can be dressed up or down for any occasion…nothing beats that!Now let’s break down the accessories…I never leave the house without a classic watch. A watch to me isn’t just a way to tell time, but it makes a statement…it truly shows a little bit about your personal style. For this look I decided to rock my new Caravelle NY wrap watch that when I look at it I instantly think ‘decadent chocolate‘…why does that come to mind? Easy…it’s brown leather and has sparkles…so that’s high class chocolate if you ask me haha!Now time for the shoe + bag swag! These Isola black suede fringed booties (on sale now for under $75 at 6pm!) are AMAZING…and I’m not just saying this because I am wearing them 😉 Black booties are always in style, but comfort is something that is a rare find…these Isola booties both have style and comfort…the way to every fashion lovers heart.My bag is actually a black leather Coach bucket bag that is truly vintage…my mom used to rock it while she was pregnant with me…designer love at a young age 😉 I found a few similar bags here + here.I for one wish I could be wearing this outfit today but unfortunately due to today’s ‘Noreaster’ that doesn’t seem likely :/ snow and rain go away…come again…never haha!| Click To Shop My Look |

Thanksgiving Eve…

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Lovers! Ok, so yes this outfit wasn’t shot recently…I’m guessing it probably got shot about 2-3 months ago (yes…I have outfits stocked up in my iPhoto library from back then!) But when I discovered it I thought it would be the perfect bar hoping or club look for one of the most popular party nights of the year…Thanksgiving Eve! Ok so I’m not sure if the whole idea of going out for ‘Thanksgiving Eve’ is a Long Island thing or an every place thing but either way I truly believe you can’t go wrong with a simple skater skirt…pumps and a moto jacket. Easy, chic and sexy…just what bar or club hopping calls for! My moto jacket is from Karen Kane and while it’s no longer available, I found a similar one from ShopBop on sale here.My skater skirt and leopard pumps are both Target Style finds…which is always a win/win in my book…what gal doesn’t like affordable fashion 😉 Plus a simple black skater skirt and leopard heels are both key pieces for any fashionistas wardrobe.My bag was last year’s Christmas gift to myself…sorry but some of the best gifts are the gifts you give yourself right? 😉 I LOVE the Louis Vuitton Neverfull because it’s an all around go to bag…roomy, great quality and always timeless. Now for the bling factor. Both of my necklaces make perfect holiday gifts! The gold horizontal bar necklace has been a hot trend for the past year and it is a great piece for ladies of any age because it can be worn alone or layered on with other pieces to make a statement. I layered it here with my favorite star necklace because what gal doesn’t like to shine like a star? 😉 P.S. with Thanksgiving tomorrow not only does it mean a big meal but also the beginning of huge holiday sales!
