H a p p y H u m p d a y! We are halfway there! Only two more days till the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! The weather in LA has been gorgeous all week and I have been dying to just hang by the pool and relax…much needed after a busy start to a new job 🙂 (ICYMI details are here)
With this warm weather, I am all about transitional looks that can easily go from winter to spring…like this look here♥
This is a great look for work or play…take your favorite winter time sweater (I personally lovethis gray v-neck one) and layer it over your favorite spring skirt (mine obviously being this white skater skirt — I am slightly obsessed with skater skirts if you weren’t aware :p) Personally, I feel that a v-neck sweater is flattering on just about everyone and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion — paired with a skater skirt (ideal for those who have #LegsForDays or those who just enjoy not wearing pants…aka M E!) LOL!
Also…I am once again wearing these Le Specs tortoise shell mirrored sunnies I can’t get enough of! Great alternative to my Ray Bans that I think I have been getting a tad bit sick of (shhh our little secret) :p
It’s F R I – Y A Y and that means an end to a short work week! Double Y A Y! Another thing I often find myself saying ‘Y A Y’ about everyday? The fact that living in LA means I get to be surrounded by gorgeous Palm Trees everyday. Call it dorky, but I guess being an East Coast native, seeing palm trees all the time excites me considering they are non-existent in NY. Hey NYC may be having NYFW but it is missing sunshine, great weather and these colorful beauties! The day before I left NY to road trip to LA, I did a little last minute shopping at Kohls (because while my dad was yelling for me to get all of my belongings together my mom found some coupons that I simply ‘had‘ to use :p I guess I didn’t think I would ever shop at Kohls again — little did I know there is one literally 10 minutes from my office haha #Addict)
Anyway, this Palm Print top was that last minute impulse buy I had to buy because I felt like it signified Cali and my exciting move from the East Coast. I feel like a lot of my clothes have a sentimental value, but this top, I will always remember being purchased the day before I moved 🙂
