Fall Flashback…

Having a little ‘Flashback‘ moment today…a flashback from the fall…leaves and all (like how i rhymed there haha!) I’m writing this post while watching a juicy new episode of ‘Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce‘…it’s truly my guilty pleasure. I know it may be cynical to be so obsessed with a show about divorce and dysfunctional relationships when I work at the Mecca of all things bridal…but Lisa Edelstein may as well be my spirit animal <3

While I’ve shot plenty of winter looks recently (all ones I froze my a** off for of course), there are still so many outfits from the fall I have yet to have shared and today’s look is one of them…What I love about this outfit is that I could wear it for work or play. At Kleinfeld we are required to wear all black whenever we are open (which definitely makes getting dressed in the morning a lot easier) but all you need is to add some simple pieces to snazz up an all black ensemble like this.My white faux fur vest is an oldie but a goodie from H&M but I found two similar options here + here (both at great prices!).My go to ‘professional’ wear is classic black ponte pants like these + a simple black chiffon blouse like these two here + here.Now to break down my favorite part of any outfit…the shoes and bag…My beiege studded pumps are great for the office and can be translated to happy hour without looking too ‘business’ like. Similar options: here + here.This Betsey Johnson leopard satchel was a Last Call Neiman Marcus find and I can’t seem to find this bag ~~anywhere~~ else except on eBay so I found two similar designer options here + here.And a simple watch to wear to work? Just Peachy…

Happy Monday Loves! Time for another busy but productive summer week! I couldn’t wait to share this bright look with you that I shot in Soho 2 weeks ago when I brought my little sister to meet Melissa Ben-Ishay, the Melissa behind the bite sized phenomenon that is Baked By Melissa! My sister is a huge cupcake fan…while i love to indulge every now and then, sweets aren’t my thing…comfort food like Mac & Cheese, Popcorn and Chicken Fingers are…me and popcorn have a love hate relationship. I love it like no other when I’m eating it but within a few hours I instantly regret the salty, dry and sluggish feeling I get after over doing it at the movie theater…because obviously movie theater popcorn is simply the best to have right? :p Anyways, back to today’s look. My peach top is from Old Navy. Button Downs are great for the office, but sometimes white and black can get a little boring, so since I love color, why not stand out with a little peach! My white shorts are from Abercrombie (most likely the clearance table in the back…none the less, a total win). I LOVE both my shoes and bag I’m wearing in this shot. My bag is from Last Call Neiman Marcus, it’s actually their own brand and it reminds me of the Maison Valentino Rockstud Tote. These gold block sandals are from Anne Klein (Traven Sandal) and what I love most about them is the fact that they match wit everything, can be dressed up or down for work or play AND they are super comfortable. Anne Klein has really comfortable footwear, one of the very few brands that can appeal to my style side and my comfort side! It wouldn’t be a complete outfit without a little bling right? I enjoy layering delicate pieces like my Hamsa Hand, Skull and Star necklaces. It’s simple yet chic. Happy Easter Sunday to all of those who celebrate! It’s finally starting to feel and look like spring here in New York, however I’m still having dreams of California, and that means reliving one of my favorite outfit shoots with Kristi…visiting the beach in Santa Monica!

While I most certainly wouldn’t wear this look to the beach, I am totally embracing the pastel colors for Easter, spring and warmer moments to come. This white perforated skirt was a huge hit at Lucky Fabb and felt I had to give sufficient outfit details here on the blog 🙂

On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink!

Spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming, birds are singing…oh and by the way, it’s still cold in NYC! What the hell! In order for me to try and forget that there was actually snow at the beginning of the week I am once again embracing color! Now if you read the title of this post and didn’t right away giggle I’m sorry to say but you must be living under a rock :p I had to pay homage to one of my favorite movies of all time in which the color ‘Pink‘ was the center of attention: Mean Girls!

One of my favorite lines from the movie other than ‘Is butter a carb?‘ is ‘On Wednesday’s we wear pink.’ That is a rule I can totally oblige by because if you haven’t noticed, I’m not one to shy away from color and this outfit exemplifies just that 🙂

In addition to paying homage to my fav Miss Regina George, I felt it was only suiting to bring a little sunshine to the blog since today I’m off to California for some fashion excursions and fun in the sun with my lovely friend Kristi of ‘Currently Crushing‘, she has a slight color obsession as well 😉

I honestly can’t wait to leave New York for a few days and I’m so excited to meet fellow bloggers who are style obsessed like myself at Lucky Fabb West 2014 in Beverly Hills! What What 😉

I’m even thinking this look will end up being a ‘must have’ in cali…pink sandals and pink pants? What can be better…right? 🙂

From Work To Play!

Finally some warmer weather has hit NYC! It may not be for long, but while it’s here I want to embrace finally being able to wear a skirt without totally freezing my butt off! This outfit is a mix of old and new.

One of my favorite accessories in this outfit is my scarf. I got it on clearance at H&M I’d say a good 3-4 years ago and it felt like a blast from the past when I decided to pair it with this outfit. I love the print of the scarf because it reminds me of something Dolce and Gabbana put out a few years ago…I was going for the whole ‘Look For Less’ thing when I purchased it haha! Sometimes a unique accessory is all an outfit needs to look polished and put together!

This look can transition from day to night and from work to play. For the office, remove the leather jacket and bam cute and stylish outfit to wear to work. Add the leather jacket, and it’s the perfect outfit for Happy Hour or a Girls Night Out! To make the look cute, sexy and professional I added these fabulous Anne Klein pumps I scored at Burlington Coat Factory for a whopping $20…yes this was a steal I was beyond thrilled about!

I love this look because it’s easy and flattering…who doesn’t love showing some leg and even better who doesn’t feel like a total bad ass rocking a leather jacket?! I sure do 😉
