Move over LBD a new dress trend is in town for the spring…cue the LWD aka Little White Dress! Although I love wearing white year round, with spring comes plenty of special occasions like graduations, Mother’s Day, prom, banquets, weddings and more that all call for a nice simple dress that you can hopefully get more than one day’s wear out of. That was always my challenge. I needed a dress to wear for so many different occasions but I didn’t want it to be so dressy that I could only wear it once or twice. Well with this season’s ‘Little White Dress’ trend…there are plenty of options that can be re-worn year round!

Love Is In The Air…

It’s almost here…the day of love…whether you plan to spend it with your significant other, your girlfriends, your dog or even just your family, one thing is for certain…it requires a dash of red…ok maybe A LOT of red! When I spotted this red midi skirt I instantly fell in LOVE…you know my heart simply melted…like the way butter runs down a hot piece of toast (can you guess what movie that is from hehe)…I fall for my wardrobe the way most people fall for another person #oops #BloggerProblems #ShoppngAddict Since I went overly red with the skirt I balanced the look out with a simple black crop top. Sometimes less is more when you are so busy making a colorful statement 😉

My accessories were also quite simple and can be worn well past Valentine’s Day. White pointed toe pumps (which I am currently obsessed with), a rose necklace (well suiting for a ‘Melissa Rose’ haha) + my Rebecca Minkoff clutch (similar here).

I had to throw some funny shots in there for ya guys 😉 PS this post is called ‘Love Is In The Air’ A) Because it’s about Valentine’s Day duh! + B) Because I will be working late tonight hosting a fun blogger event at Kleinfeld where we are spreading the love in our shoe and accessory boutique! (I can’t wait to tell ya all about it…stay tuned!)

I love me an LBD…and a great Giveaway! A Birthday Celebration In Celebration…

It’s My BIRTHDAY! After having a blast at Disney World this past weekend (check out my Disney travel diary from yesterday here) I am happy to be back in New York (~~minus~~ the snow and icky weather of course) and back at work to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends 🙂 While in Florida soaking up some sunshine I had fun doing some outfit shoots with Sarah and her photographer Whitney…one of them being this adorable Birthday shoot to celebrate the big day today! Every year my Birthday has honestly never went as planned…there was always a snow storm, a Super Bowl party or something that got in the way…While New York did have another snow storm (naturally) it extended my Florida stay an extra day…not too shabby I guess right? 😉 Well as we all know I LOVE color so I was so thrilled when my lovely friends over at Carolinna Espinosa sent me an early Birthday surprise…these Canarsie Coral + Tan Leather Peep Toe Heels! I love the color so much I went crazy and ordered this coral colored romper from ASOS (#ShoppingAddict #SorryNotSorry). I was ~~never~~ one for rompers but after layering my white boyfriend blazer over it + belting it (LOVE this Fossil Belt) I deemed it as ‘do-able’ 😉

I got a little Birthday gift for myself a week early (still counts as a gift right? haha) I LOVE a pop of color so this blue face Michael Kors watch is the best, especially for me…plus it’s an extra hue to add to my purple, pink and coral ensemble. Another accessory I can’t live without is my Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag.

Walking In A Winter Wonderland…

With every negative comes a positive…so with the crazy snow storm NY is having comes a perfectly white backdrop that looks like something out of a movie…When I started editing photos for this post I was kinda in awe…me freezing my a** off was totally worth the beautiful outcome…I present to you a little Valentine’s Day outfit inspo part one!

I had to start thinking of something a little exciting in order to distract myself from this Snow Storm Juno…right now it’s 9:15 pm on 1.26 and the wind is howling, there is already a foot of snow on Long Island and I am stuck in my house till who knows when (I am simply praying it doesn’t mess up my flight to Disney on Friday). So while I am not going on a hot date for Valentine’s Day (unless cuddling with my pup Charlie qualifies as a hot date or if one of my Tinder dates becomes a success story)…that doesn’t mean I can’t feel all ‘lovey dovey‘ in a cute, festive outfit right?!

So let me break down the Valentine’s Day look: Obviously a red blouse is essential when you think ‘Valentine‘ so I found this cute top at Nordstrom Rack (similar blouses here + here). I paired it with a ‘red rose’ necklace because A) a rose for Melissa Rose (my middle name) + B) a rose necklace definitely lasts a bit longer than a bouquet of red roses! And of course a red lip is essential…

I love a feminine looking skirt…especially a little white on white action like this white faux leather skirt and white pointed toe pumps. I have been searching high and low for white pointed toe pumps everywhere and finally I found them here (for under $40)!

I fell in LOVE with this Rebecca Minkoff clutch when I spotted it at Nordstrom Rack, while I can’t seem to find links to it anywhere online, I found similar options below 🙂
