Tulle + Twirls on the Brooklyn Bridge…

♥ Where Brooklyn At? ♥

I lived in NYC my whole life + never actually visited the Brooklyn Bridge! How crazy is that? But I guess when you are a local native in a city you often don’t take the time to explore your surroundings + what makes your city so unique + special. It took me moving to LA, being away from NYC for years + visiting again to finally explore iconic spots around NYC like the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo + so much more.

While I was so happy to see NYC again, I forgot what it was like to be a New Yorker. I used to run around the city all the time, catching trains + subways, hailing cabs + checking out new restaurants while shopping at my favorite spots. It was amazing indeed BUT living in LA where you can drive everywhere, not run to catch a train, not carry all your stuff with you (hey that’s what trunks are for :p), life is definitely different in LA vs NY. I was determined to make this NY trip the best so here was stop one of my NYC excursion.

I was so excited to head to the Brooklyn Bridge + had a vision of pulling off a Carrie Bradshaw esq look there (ICYMI – I am a MAJOR Sex + The City fan…I always considered myself a Carrie but as of late I think I am a Charlotte personality with Carrie style). Sooo while thinking up the perfect outfit I found this gorgeous ombre tulle skirt + instantly knew it was ‘the one‘. I am linking to some similar styles below along with the solid pieces I paired it with like this light blue blazer + beige crop top…letting the skirt take center stage.

I also decided to keep my accessories simple so opted for a beige Gucci Belt, blue + beige Gucci Bag + Nude Pumps!

I love stocking up on basic pieces like these because they go with every ensemble + look classy no matter what the occasion. I wear these nude pumps all the time + this belt matches with all of my dresses + top / skirt combos.
