A Birthday Celebration In Celebration…

It’s My BIRTHDAY! After having a blast at Disney World this past weekend (check out my Disney travel diary from yesterday here) I am happy to be back in New York (~~minus~~ the snow and icky weather of course) and back at work to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends 🙂 While in Florida soaking up some sunshine I had fun doing some outfit shoots with Sarah and her photographer Whitney…one of them being this adorable Birthday shoot to celebrate the big day today! Every year my Birthday has honestly never went as planned…there was always a snow storm, a Super Bowl party or something that got in the way…While New York did have another snow storm (naturally) it extended my Florida stay an extra day…not too shabby I guess right? 😉 Well as we all know I LOVE color so I was so thrilled when my lovely friends over at Carolinna Espinosa sent me an early Birthday surprise…these Canarsie Coral + Tan Leather Peep Toe Heels! I love the color so much I went crazy and ordered this coral colored romper from ASOS (#ShoppingAddict #SorryNotSorry). I was ~~never~~ one for rompers but after layering my white boyfriend blazer over it + belting it (LOVE this Fossil Belt) I deemed it as ‘do-able’ 😉

I got a little Birthday gift for myself a week early (still counts as a gift right? haha) I LOVE a pop of color so this blue face Michael Kors watch is the best, especially for me…plus it’s an extra hue to add to my purple, pink and coral ensemble. Another accessory I can’t live without is my Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag.

I’m spending my Birthday with the family…probably the traditional cake, cards and presents…sometimes a little relaxation after a fun filled vacation is needed 🙂

It’s finally time for me to get away and I am THRILLED! I am heading to Disney World today with my blogger gal pal Sarah to have some fun with Mickey + Minnie and celebrate my birthday! Now although I love to be comfortable when I travel, that doesn’t mean style has to be sacrificed 😉 So here it goes…my travel style (for this trip that is!)Naturally I need to have a pop of color no matter where I go so hence my hot pink suitcase…only suiting for a gal who loves to wear neon year round right? 😉 My carry on is always my Louis Vuitton Neverfull…it fits everything I need and is such an easy grab it and go bag.

My outfit is pretty simple…Gray V Neck Sweater, Hue Leather Leggings, a chic Faux Fur Vest and of course some killer boots! Easy, Breezy Beautiful…Travel Style <3

A Throwback To Warmer Weather…

They don’t call it ‘Throwback Thursday‘ for nothing…in between watching ‘Best New Restaurant’ on Bravo and getting my camera cleared out for my weekend getaway I somehow ended up going through my entire iPhoto library and came upon this little ensemble…shot back in…drum roll please…July! Yes, July…see that’s my problem ladies and gents because I shoot new looks all of the time some outfits get left in the archives waiting to be discovered and finally this is my ~~oldest~~ outfit sitting in my photo library and it is seeing the light of day! This outfit is so old that my little sister shot this look (she ~~retired~~ from doing my photos shortly after…my brother has shot my photos ever since…keeping it the family ya know 😉 )This outfit is as simple as it gets…a simple LBD paired with bright and bold accessories…what else could a girl ask for? I am pretty sure I got this dress from Old Navy (I honestly can’t even find this dress in my closet…I looked for it while writing this post and I already ~~lost~~ it…hopefully to be seen again once the summer comes…maybe it’s just playing hide + seek haha!). Walking In A Winter Wonderland…

With every negative comes a positive…so with the crazy snow storm NY is having comes a perfectly white backdrop that looks like something out of a movie…When I started editing photos for this post I was kinda in awe…me freezing my a** off was totally worth the beautiful outcome…I present to you a little Valentine’s Day outfit inspo part one!

I had to start thinking of something a little exciting in order to distract myself from this Snow Storm Juno…right now it’s 9:15 pm on 1.26 and the wind is howling, there is already a foot of snow on Long Island and I am stuck in my house till who knows when (I am simply praying it doesn’t mess up my flight to Disney on Friday). So while I am not going on a hot date for Valentine’s Day (unless cuddling with my pup Charlie qualifies as a hot date or if one of my Tinder dates becomes a success story)…that doesn’t mean I can’t feel all ‘lovey dovey‘ in a cute, festive outfit right?!

So let me break down the Valentine’s Day look: Obviously a red blouse is essential when you think ‘Valentine‘ so I found this cute top at Nordstrom Rack (similar blouses here + here). I paired it with a ‘red rose’ necklace because A) a rose for Melissa Rose (my middle name) + B) a rose necklace definitely lasts a bit longer than a bouquet of red roses! And of course a red lip is essential…

I love a feminine looking skirt…especially a little white on white action like this white faux leather skirt and white pointed toe pumps. I have been searching high and low for white pointed toe pumps everywhere and finally I found them here (for under $40)!

I fell in LOVE with this Rebecca Minkoff clutch when I spotted it at Nordstrom Rack, while I can’t seem to find links to it anywhere online, I found similar options below 🙂
