I’m finally back from a nice + relaxing vacay but something I can’t seem to get out of my mind is the amazing Mazda 6 Signature we got to drive throughout our amazing trip. From the smooth drive to luxe interior, my boyfriend + I have been swooning over this beauty and I am here to share all the deets on this amazing vehicle so you can snag one for yourself (I mean who doesn’t need to switch up their ride, am I right? :p)
We did plenty of driving during our trip (for the days we weren’t enjoying the magical world of Disney at the parks). We totally loved driving the Mazda 6 Signature. While I typically opt for trucks so I have extra room, this sedan is far from small. It has tons of room in the trunk + backseat (enough for my two tons of luggage hehe :p I never travel light) + roomy space in the front.
Our car had plush leather interior, heated steering, seats + more…it was an absolute dream. The interior feels very sporty + luxurious, while also feeling extremely safe.
The car comes equipped with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Smart Brake Support + more. Even on long drives, the car will vibrate if you begin to veer outside your lane or are trying to switch lanes when something is close by etc. I find the safety features are one of the most amazing parts of the car because feeling safe is something that is priceless.
This car has an amazing audio system (thanks to Bose), touch screen media + navigation system and it has the apple car play capability (my favorite since you can basically see your iphone on the car system screen.)
The system makes it super easy to get around a new city, listen to your favorite tunes + even reply to texts + calls hands free so no distracted driving occurs.
What I loved most about the Mazda 6 Signature is that while it is an affordable ride, it feels like top tier luxury. That is always such a win / win. Between the car’s amazing interior features, safety aspects + more, the Mazda 6 Signature is a great car for you to cruise away in!
♥All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.♥
It feels like it was just yesterday that we were in Disney World on vacation to celebrate my birthday, our anniversary + an early Valentine’s Day. We laughed, we cried (jk def no crying at Disney World haha :p) + we had the absolute best time!
ICYMI – I am a total Disney lover + kid at heart. Before heading to the park, I rounded up some of my favorite Disney styles + picks (great for your next Disney World or Disney Land trip). From the spectacular shows, to awesome rides, to tasty treats, to fun character moments, I LOVE going to Disney World + luckily my boyfriend + I have been making it our little tradition for the past two years!
Since we have become somewhat of Disney pros hehe :p I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of the various parks, exciting moments you won’t want to miss + so much more!
I would say my favorite parks are hands down Hollywood Studios + Magic Kingdom, we always spend the majority of our time at those because they have the best rides, experiences + photo moments!
One of my favorite parts of Disney World this time that was finally open when we were there this time was Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios! I LOVE Toy Story (the little green aliens are my obsession hehe) so I couldn’t wait to check out the built out area that was a replica of Andy’s backyard (toys + all)!
Last year one of my favorite rides at Hollywood Studios was ‘Toy Story Mania‘ which is basically a ride + arcade game all in one! My boyfriend + I love arcade games and love a little friendly competition, so this ride is the perfect combination of both. It is a 4D ride where you go against your partner to shoot at different objects from plates to balloons with an interactive shooter in your ride cart (let me just tell ya it is quite the arm workout hehe :p). Every time we went on it, I went on planning to win but my boyfriend always won (I need to practice before next year’s trip hehe).
While I loved ‘Toy Story Mania‘, we couldn’t wait to go on the new ‘Slinky Dog Dash‘ (we saw them building it last year when we visited so to be able to go on it this year was super exciting)! Imagine soaring through Andy’s backyard on a roller coaster made from Slinky Dog…it is beyond fun! We went on it probably 5 times while we were there – definitely worth the over hour wait!
I always love the rides at Hollywood Studios but the treats + souvenirs are also a favorite of mine. I saw the green alien popcorn pail all over social media + couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when we arrived – it was probably my favorite purchase we made at the park haha! My boyfriend made the alien voice everywhere we went saying ‘OOOHH The Claw‘ (Toy Story 2 reference) so it made our trip even more fun. We even brought the little guy along with us on the new ‘Alien Swirling Saucers‘ ride (also at Hollywood Studios in Toy Story Land).
While we didn’t spend too much time at Epcot or Animal Kingdom, we did love one ride in particular at Animal Kingdom…’Expedition Everest‘! It is a high speed roller coaster where you are trying to escape a scary Yeti (although I find Yeti’s kinda adorable hehe – we even bought a cute one in the gift shop after going on the ride multiple times).
I love seeing all of the nature + animals at Animal Kingdom but next time we definitely want to check out all of the Avatar related rides + the night show (we didn’t plan ahead with those + the wait times were 2+ hours).
ICYMI – Disney World has Fast Pass+where you can book 3 Fast Passes a day for one park up to 30 days in advance of your visit! It is a really awesome feature so you can assure to get on the rides you want with little to no wait times (we used them for a lot of the Toy Story Land attractions). After you use up your 3 passes for one day you can book passes 1 by one for the same park you are at or a different park.
We always opt to get Park Hoppers for each day we go so we can ‘hop‘ around from park to park! We like to spend the day at one park + then experience the different end of night shows at the various parks.
While I love the rides at Disney World, some of my favorite experiences are the parades, shows + fireworks at the end of the night! They always excite me + really make you feel like you are experiencing the magic of Disney!
My favorite shows are Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. It is a combination of water effects, fireworks, Mickey performing + so much more…it is truly an incredible experience and it is one show I highly recommend you don’t miss when visiting!
For Star Wars fans while the new Galaxy Edge section of the park won’t be open till fall 2019, you can check out the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. It happens every evening and is a combination of clips from the movies projected in the middle of the park with special effects like fire + fireworks – it truly is remarkable.
At Magic Kingdom their ‘Happily Ever After‘ show is truly a fairytale moment! I get so emotional + even cry during it hehe :p Tears of joy of course haha!
The show has clips from tons of Disney movies highlighting love, friendship + the magic that is in your heart if you just believe.
I am also a huge fan of Magic Kingdom, One because of Cinderella’s Castle (of course) but because of how every time I take photos in front of it, I feel like a Disney princess. I planned for months on what I was going to wear for the trip, ordered special Minnie Mouse Ears, apparel + so much more to really embrace the Disney magic.
I am off to Florida for a long overdue vacay! That means logging off, relaxing + enjoying some time with my boo. We are heading to Disney to celebrate my birthday + our anniversary! We are making it our tradition to head to Florida to kick off a new year and celebrate these occasions so that means I am usually prepping beginning in early January for all of the goodies I want to bring along on our trip. From colorful swimsuits to durable luggage to the perfect pair of sunnies + floppy hat, I rounded up my favorite vacay must-haves below!
♥ All Our Dreams Come True If You Have The Courage To Pursue Them – Walt Disney ♥
Close your eyes + take a moment to image visiting the happiest day on earth during the most magical time of the year…now open your eyes because it is possible! From dreamy decor to yummy treats to festive events, gifts + more, Disneyland during the Holiday Season is nothing short of magnificent.
I had the opportunity to check out all the fun the park has in store for the Holiday Season + am sharing it all with you!
DECOR + EVENTS
One of my favorite things about Disneyland year round is all of the amazing decor, so it comes as no surprise that during the Holiday Season they go ALL out! From huge Christmas trees, to gorgeous lights, wreaths + more, you will feel like you are in a Winter Wonderland, so I am rounding up some of my favorite spots.
At Disneyland one of my favorite spots is Main Street USA where the entire street is strung with lights, wreaths + at the center sits the most gorgeous Christmas Tree making for the perfect photo backdrop.
During the day you can look up and see wreaths shaped like Mickey Mouse, the huge Christmas tree, festive plants, flowers + more.
At night the street is lit up + looks like something out of a story book.
Of course another one of my favorite decor moments at Disneyland is Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It is covered in wreaths, icicles + is glistening making for a storybook finish.
Every evening there is an enchanted show at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle where the building has a projected light display AND they even make it snow in California (talk about magical :p).
At 9:30pm every night there is a Holiday fireworks show where you can hear your favorite holiday timed perfectly to sparks in the air!
If you are looking for a breathtaking lights display, head over to the ‘It’s A Small World‘ ride. The entire outside of the ride is decked out in a rainbow display of lights that is something out of a fantasy…I definitely want to be immersed in that fairytale.
Another one of my favorite decor spots in the park is Mickey’s Toon Town. Goofy’s House is decked out for Christmas along with Mickey + Minnie’s homes as well. The bright, bold colors make Mickey’s Toon Town my go-to spot for cute instagram pics.
ICYMI – Disneyland + California Adventure changed up some of their attractions for the Holiday Season making them a ‘must see‘ before it’s too late!
At Disneyland they switched up the traditional Haunted Mansion ride + let Jack Skeleton from Nightmare Before Christmas take over with his twist on the classic ride. The Haunted Mansion ride has always been my favorite + this festive version blew my mind. From neon displays to insane sculptures, you MUST check it out before it goes away January 9th!
It’s A Small World also got a festive upgrade during the holidays so definitely check that out to see all the new elements it has to offer.
Over at California Adventure, Cars Land is fully decked out for the holidays. Think Christmas trees made out of tires, traffic cones, hubcaps + more plus Mater’s Tow Ride got a holiday twist to make it even more fun for kiddos + adults alike.
TREATS + SHOPPING
Ok…obviously one of my favorite things to do at Disney is go shopping, especially during Holidays. The stores are stocked with festive gifts for you, your friends, family + more. We got some holiday themed Mickey + Minnie dolls, custom ornaments + stockings. Most gift shops at both parks have a customization station where you can purchase merchandise and they can go ahead + make it personalized to you.
One of my favorite things to get at Disney is new Minnie Ears each time I go + during the holiday season they have a ton of new styles to choose from like ones with faux fur, ones with snowflakes, big bows + more.
For treats, meals + desserts, each park has a variety of foods with a holiday twist. I love heading to the candy + bakery shops on Main Street USA for Mickey themed rice krispies (which were made festive with a santa hat), red + green cupcake pops, candy apples + more.
I don’t know about you but I am a HUGE popcorn buff + apparently during the holiday season Disneyland + California Adventure have exclusive holiday themed popcorn pals (I love collecting these). At Disneyland they have this adorable one of Pluto in a Christmas Sweater + at California Adventure they have one of the Alien from Toy Story with Christmas lights around him.
I am getting back into the swing of things after a busy weekend in Las Vegas + the beginning of a busy work week. I wanted to write today’s post for a few reasons, 1. To share all about my trip, 2. To share some of my favorite things to do in Vegas + 3. To show you don’t have to be a big partier in order to enjoy Vegas! While it is Sin City + night clubs / bottle service are at the top of the list of things to do, as a gal that prefers shopping over popping bottles, I am happy to report Vegas has tons to do even for those who aren’t necessarily ‘sinners‘. Rounding up some of my favorite parts of the weekend, as well as my favorite things to do in Vegas below!
Ok, let’s just get this out of the way at the beginning since it is one of my favorite parts about Vegas. Whether you are into spending big or saving money, Vegas has shopping for everyone.
While I scored a new Chanel over the weekend (a new style not yet available online or where I live, will be doing an unboxing soon), Vegas has tons of shopping for all price points. I personally love the luxury shops at the Bellagio or The Shops at Crystals which have everything from Hermes to Louis Vuitton to Gucci, Chanel + more. While I typically love buying luxury items in Europe (because you don’t pay sales tax haha), Vegas is my next best option because the sales tax in Vegas is lower than California or New York! Any bit I can save, I will take it :p PLUS the stores are open till midnight (I got my back at 11:30pm haha right before Chanel closed)
What I also love about the shopping in Vegas when it comes to luxury designers is that Vegas has a larger inventory of product that is unique to them. You can find styles there other boutiques don’t carry or pieces that have yet to be released online or elsewhere in the country. If you want to find a bag no one else has, go to Vegas + ask for styles unique to them, you are in for a fun surprise! Also if you are into investing + then flipping bags on the Real Real or eBay etc, this is a great place to find styles that will be a hit on second hand retail sites.
If you are looking for more affordable options, look no further than the amazing premium outlets they have 20 minutes outside of the main Vegas strip. From Kate Spade to Brooks Brothers to Nike + more, they have great deals, lower sales tax + also unique inventory that will have you feeling like you won the jackpot 😉 hehe like what I did there?
Similar to shopping, dining is abundant at all price points. Whether you are heading to CUT by Wolfgang Puck at the Palazzo or Joe’s at Caesar’s Palace, fine dining is everywhere, with amazing food, impeccable service + a great atmosphere. While we were there, we went to one fancy dinner and then kept the rest more affordable.
What I love about Vegas (or used to prior to me joining Jenny Craig) is all of the amazing buffets + cheap spots to score yummy food. From being able to score a Lobster tail + Steak for under $11.99 at local hot spots like Ellis Island to heading over to Freemont Street and getting a full egg, potato + sausage breakfast for $4, if you want to load up without breaking the bank, Vegas is for you. Keep in mind, if you are trying to stick to a diet, Vegas is very very tempting with their food options. I made a plan, stuck to it + felt good about it along the way (but trust me, when I passed a buffet I was practically drooling).
If you’ve been to Vegas then you know they are known for their shows! Whether you like magic or acrobatics or a bit of a tease, Vegas has literally any show you may be looking for. There are also tons of big name celebrities performing nightly like Celine Dion, Britney Spears (saw her last year + LOVED it), J.Lo + more.
In addition to tons of musical acts there are a ton of MAGIC acts. Now I don’t know if you believe in magic, but I sure enjoy watching it haha! This trip we saw Criss Angel’s ‘Mindfreak’ show which was pretty epic let me tell ya. His residency at the Luxor ends soon so be sure to catch the show before he changes venues + the show layout. Next time I want to check out Penn & Teller at the Rio (my boo + I watch their tv show ‘Fool Us‘ + I am completely obsessed).
Another series of shows I have been wanting to check out is Cirque De Soleil. There are a few different shows at different venues ranging from a Beatles one to Michael Jackson to O to Mysterie + more, tons of varieties all worth checking out if you like to be amazed and in aw.
Ok, this is an obvious one haha Obviously Sin City is known for it’s gambling but what I love is that it is something you can enjoy whether you are beginner trying out slots or an avid gambler who heads straight for the Black Jack table etc. Plus you can get free drinks when you are gambling, alcoholic + non-alcoholic. My tip, don’t gamble with money you aren’t willing to loose, this way anything you win is always a bonus 🙂
Now this is what I am all about…the PHOTOS. I planned a few photo moments before heading to Vegas so I am going to share some of those with ya’ll!
On the way to Vegas there is a major colorful moment called the ‘Seven Magic Mountains‘. We of course stopped + shot a few photos, I highly suggest you do as well.
Photo opps in Vegas…now there are plenty. Of course the major one is the ‘Welcome To Las Vegas’ sign. There is usually a big line to take photos directly in front of the sign but if you walk over to the side + get an angled shot there is no wait + it makes for a great backdrop, that is how I shot the photos in this post.
All of the hotel’s have great photo backdrops near their pools etc but I personally love the lobby of the Bellagio with the glass flower ceiling. They also have a gorgeous garden that is changed every season with incredible creations that are just begging for a snap! I also love the fountains at the Bellagio, they go off every 20 minutes + the are absolutely beautiful, great for a video or boomerang.
Another photo moment I had to experience was the Gondolas at the Venetian. While it is only a 13 minute trip it is worth it. You can go in with others or pay $116 to go alone…and yup you guessed it, we paid to go alone haha crazy how quick you blow money in Vegas but I digress. There is an option to go on the ride outside or inside. I personally like the inside ride better since the whole experience makes you feel like you are in Italy (the ceiling is painted with a gorgeous sky etc).
