ICMYI – Festival Season shopping is in full swing with Coachella just weeks away so I wanted to share one of my favorite trends I LOVE wearing out in Palm Desert and that is…yup, you guessed it – PALM TREES + PALM PRINT! I mean seriously, who doesn’t love palm print for summer anyway but when in Palm Springs, I think palm trees + palm print on your clothing is kinda a requirement, no? :p
Whether you are heading to the festival, lounging by the pool or off to some parties (or hey maybe you are just chillin’ at home + love some desert vibes)…these picks are perfect to keep you cool + stylish in the desert heat all weekend long!
ICYMI – a NEWinstagram worthy experience has come to LA…Candytopia! Think Museum Of Ice Cream except dedicated to all things CANDY. From life-size art made out of everything from Twizzlers to gum drops to jelly beans + more to a pool filled with marshmallows to fun photo moment backdrops perfect for your insta feed, Candytopia has got it ALL! See some of my favorite photo opps below, along with details on the outfit I wore!
So I totally didn’t do this fun room justice because I am way too serious to do silly poses where it looks like you are falling down into a hole…the room was specifically designed for that but instead I stuck with the traditional blogger pose in front of a colored wall haha!!
What is better than living on a cloud? I LOVED this backdrop for a few reasons…OK maybe just one…it matches my Instagram feed perfectly haha!! (and my outfit :p)
If you are thinking of heading to Candytopia I highly suggest you purchase your tickets ahead of time online to reserve your spot, if you can try to go during the week during the day so you aren’t rushed during your photo opps AND be prepared to snack on tons of candy!!
P.S. I highly suggest you bring your camera, iPhone works great as well but there isn’t natural light so you may want to play with lighting settings on a DSLR for the best photo quality for posting 🙂
Happy Thursday! Sorry for the delay in posting loves…I’ve been a bit swamped with work but finally I am getting some much needed R+R because I am off to Palm Springs and Santa Barbara for the weekend!! I rarely ever take vacation time since I am always go, go, go but lately I have been in need of a little refresh, recharge + time to feel inspired again. I’ve been in a funk where I lost my passion for what it was I was doing. Instagram felt like a chore, photoshoots felt tedious + all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and stay there. It’s crazy how your mood can change instantly based on people around you, situations you are in etc. I think the first step in getting back on track to doing what I love is realizing what I am missing + finding it…luckily I just needed some colorful scenery, a cup of ice cream + pretty photos to get me feeling inspired to post again and what better place to get fun, colorful content than at the Museum Of Ice Cream that is currently open in DTLA!
I have been dying to explore the Museum Of Ice Cream ever since I saw it open in NYC last year…so when I heard it was coming to LA, it was obvious I must go! Luckily the fab watch brand Daniel Wellington has a fondness for great insta pics + sweet treats and invited me to explore the museum with them last weekend! Now that is something that gets me up bright + early…even on a Sunday 😉
I have been a fan of Daniel Wellington’s watches for a while since they are lightweight, simple + always chic! You can see how I styled one before HERE.
My outfit matched the colorful setting of the museum perfectly. Each room was designed to center around a different flavor or element of ice cream. From the gummy bear room, to the mint chip room to the banana split room, this museum was one sweet journey that I highly encourage everyone to check out!
Those are some highlights from the museum (can’t give everything away unfortunately…there is still SO SO Much waiting for you to experience)!
The HOLIDAYS are Here! I seriously can’t believe how fast this year has been going by! Feels like just yesterday was summer (perks of living in LA, no seasons means endless sunshine year round haha). It’s been a year and a half since I moved to LA from NY and boy has it been a crazy ride. Moving from Weho to Burbank, switching up my career from in house to agency life, changing from beauty + fashion to luxury lifestyle…this year has been full of surprises (mainly good, a few eh, but overall…amazing)!
Anyways, one of the exciting clients I work with is the Rodeo Drive Committee (pretty suiting for a gal who loves the finer things in life, huh? :p) To kick off the holiday season, tomorrow is the annual Beverly Hills ‘Holiday Lighting Celebration’ where Rodeo Drive lights up with street performers, festive treats + celeb performances!
In addition to working on this fun event, I have been promoting the charitable endeavor of Rodeo Drive this holiday season with the #RodeoGivesBack initiative! Beverly Hills is a pretty amazing community, the people truly are amazing and I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of them who have in turn, really taught me about the history Beverly Hills + Rodeo Drive holds (call me a nerd, but seeing old photos of Rodeo Drive + the Beverly Wilshire pre–RHOBH is pretty cool if you ask me :p).
One of the best parts about the holiday season is giving back to those in need. Rodeo Drive is helping to give the gift of warmth by partnering with the Salvation Army to collect coat donations throughout November + December! How great is that? This has been just one of the amazing projects I get to work on. I planned a little photo shoot at the Beverly Wilshire with some of my favorite blogger babes to get the word out about this great campaign!
What’s better than giving back around the holidays? Makes the holiday season so much brighter!
Now to break down this holiday look! I have had a love affair with this black tulle skirt for years now. It just reminds me of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear (in fact I did a whole shoot wearing it in front of the New York Public Library here).
I think this skirt is great for the holiday season. You can style it with a simple blouse (like this one) or wear a crop top + leather jacket for an edgier look (the possibilities are endless)!
I love these T-Strap Black Heels for the holiday season. I feel like they are such chic classics!
My clutch is actually a toiletry pouch from Louis Vuitton. I seriously LOVE this and even though it has been sold out at all of the LV boutiques I was able to find it with the help of LYST!

Join me as I party on Rodeo Drive tomorrow night at 4pm!
Happy Sunday + I hope you all had a fabulous, fun-filled weekend (I sure did)! Saturday night I had the opportunity to attend College Fashion Week here in LA with my blogger gal pal Natalie of HashTagFablife (if you love beauty tutorials + fashion tips, you will love her site). The event was in Culver City + it was made up of 4 different ‘mini’ fashion shows where college students were the models walking the runway! There was sorority wear, night out wear + preppy wear.
Other than the cute styles rocked by fab college students (which I thought was so great for them btw – I love young gals getting to strut their confidence in a positive way)! Talk about Women Empowering Women ♥ In between each runway show guests had the chance to explore some of the great sponsors (like getting brow services from European Wax Center…my favorite). But, the best sponsors came from the styles the gals got to wear down the runway!
First, I should mention I was lucky enough to get the ‘VIP‘ treatment while attending College Fashion Week…meaning I got to sit front row + I received the best swag bag ever! (more about that later :p)
I think Rebecca Minkoff + Vince Camuto are great brands for college students to wear since they have a luxury feel at a convenient price point 🙂 I definitely have my fair share of picks from both brands!
For these fun sponsors I am going to reveal what was in my swag bag because TBH it is pretty major…
I love finding new fragrances that really help me feel great everyday – honestly, when you smell good, you feel good (in my opinion at least). Perfumania has a wide array of fragrances, sets + designers. Whether you are looking for a classic sent from Chanel or a new fresh sent from let’s say Juicy Couture (this perfume smells…amazing, no joke)…Perfumania has got ya covered!
I have wanted to try Fitbit forever…I am not a savvy fitness gal but I want to be able to track my steps, my calories + more to make sure I am at least on a track for success! I think Fitbit Flex 2 is great for that since it works with your lifestyle + with the thin design it looks stylish no matter what outfit you are wearing.
Drybar was probably one of my favorite sponsors! I have already been obsessed with their dry shampoo + some other products, so I am super pumped about trying Triple Sec, which I heard is a fan favorite. And…my favorite thing? Drybar gave a complimentary blowout to all attendees (which I am off to go use as we speak :p)!
Two other sponsors were Hanes + Maidenform (pretty much the essentials for undergarments which are the foundation of any look)! Their newest styles are great to wear with any outfit no matter what the cut or fit 😉
The entire College Fashion Week experience was also sponsored by People StyleWatch (one of my go to magazines for fashion inspo + news)!
Here’s some of what was in my bag:
I highly encourage all of you to try and attend College Fashion Week in your city next year! They have been on the East + West coast…fashion doesn’t sleep + neither do they!
