It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without a little green! I actually got to venture out last weekend and shoot at some new spots…this one being Venice! I’ve heard plenty of mixed things about Venice, but after exploring and finding the cutest shops, restaurants (and plenty of colorful backdrops)…I got sold on it 😉 Safe to say plenty of more shoots will be happening there haha :p But…back to St. Patty’s Day…green it is!
This look is super simple yet chic. I always love incorporating color into any look I wear, so this All For Color kimono was the perfect piece to build my look around.
I got that S P R I N G feeling ♥ Flowers are blooming, the weather is perfect (although it pretty much always is in LA haha) + that means time to switch up the wardrobe! Now, since revamping a wardrobe from season to season can get costly, I learned to transition pieces by styling them different ways no matter what the temperature, season or occasion!
This is such an easy look to wear for any occasion. It’s casual yet dress and what I love most…it’s effortless, just slip on the dress, step into the boots + g o!
With such an effortless look, dressing it up with some chic accessories is just what this outfit needs! I got my beaded tassel necklace from my friend Marrin Costello! Her designs are gorgeous + I love this piece for any outfit (honestly all of her jewels are kinda amazing).
Remember when you were a kid or teenager and you used to love having slumber parties with your girlfriends? The typical…staying up all night talking, snacking on junk food + sweets, picking out the perfect pair of pjs to wear (telling mom you refuse to wear the character pjs she knows you so totally adored because characters are embarrassing…duh!) and knowing that sleepover was happening come the weekend, was the highlight of your week! Well, I’m a firm believer sleepovers + slumber parties shouldn’t end just because we grow up…hey, for one, I am a kid at heart (forever + always)!
Boohoo.com sent Kristi + I matching PJ sets and adorable sleep shirts! Tell me this isn’t the ultimate ‘slumber party’…matching PJs? The c o o l e s t if you ask me :p
I for one love sleepwear that is stylish…makes sense for a fashion blogger right? If I am fashion crazed during the day, why wouldn’t I be at night too?!
It’s starting to feel a lot like S P R I N G! And I couldn’t be happier! Spring has always been my favorite season (whether in NY or LA) because it starts warming up so I can wear all of my favorite dresses, skirts + sandals while also not sweating in a heat wave like I do over the summer haha!
To kick off my first of many spring style posts, I teamed up with Burlington…aka the premier destination to score chic finds for less (just up my alley right?!) Burlington has up to 65% off department store prices every day! So I was beyond excited when they gave me the challenge of putting a head-to-toe spring look together for under $50…challenge accepted and challenge completed 😉
I scored both my black + white striped shift dress from Burlington as well as my nude lace up heels! Two ‘on trend’ pieces for spring that can be transitioned from work to play and beyond. What I love about a classic shift dress is that it is an easy outfit choice in the morning…just slip it on and you are ready to head out the door! Nothing beats that (especially for a gal like me who is always running late in the morning — hey Starbucks is always a priority what can I say :p)
This dress in particular I love because A) It’s only $7.99 on BurlingtonStores.com (YES it is in fact $7.99 for this gorgeous dress…how crazy is that?!) It’s the perfect piece to add to your spring rotation and I dressed it up for spring with some bright accessories!
My other Burlington find were these nude lace up sandals (similar to the ones I found in store). I mean they are great for the office, girl’s night, date night etc. Nude matches with everything, they are super comfortable and I can’t get over how great they fit (normally I struggle with heels if the arch is too high or if they are too narrow or too wide etc. Not these beauties…they are picture perfect!)
These heels cost only $17.99! How great is that? Head-To-Toe outfit completed! Bam!
I always like to add color to all of my looks, especially for spring, so I added a few of my own accessories to the look. For some neon I added my own satchel + for a P O P of blue I added one of my favorite necklaces in Cobalt and of course my mirrored aviators (a spring / summer / year roundessential for everyone…just sayin’).
And Voila!A head-to-toe spring look that’s on trend and doesn’t break the bank…easy as 1,2,3 and it’s all thanks to Burlington! Burlington has up to 65% off department store prices every day!
Since moving to LA I learned that just because the weather is warm and makes me want to wear dresses and bright colors all the time, LA natives rarely do! Isn’t it funny how NYers crave the warmth and light layers while LA natives desperately want to wear dark hues, coats and winter wear? I guess it’s like the old saying goes…you always want what you don’t have huh? 😉
I always thought wearing all black was a bit morbid but hey maybe it can be a little sexy? I am obsessed with this long sleeve criss cross top from AMI Clubwear — clearly it’s become a trend as of recent because I have been seeing tops like this all over…a few of my favorites are below!
I paired it with my favorite ‘going’ out pants…leggings haha (who said leggings can’t be sexy)! These leather leggings from Hue are great for work or play and paired with this top make for one #flawless look that’s both comfortable yet stylish!
With an all black look, the accessories really have to P O P + make a statement…these AMI Clubwear silver gladiator heels certainly do the trick! They are super comfortable (shocking I know) AND they can match with everything!! Win / Win!
H a p p y H u m p d a y! We are halfway there! Only two more days till the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! The weather in LA has been gorgeous all week and I have been dying to just hang by the pool and relax…much needed after a busy start to a new job 🙂 (ICYMI details are here)
With this warm weather, I am all about transitional looks that can easily go from winter to spring…like this look here♥
This is a great look for work or play…take your favorite winter time sweater (I personally lovethis gray v-neck one) and layer it over your favorite spring skirt (mine obviously being this white skater skirt — I am slightly obsessed with skater skirts if you weren’t aware :p) Personally, I feel that a v-neck sweater is flattering on just about everyone and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion — paired with a skater skirt (ideal for those who have #LegsForDays or those who just enjoy not wearing pants…aka M E!) LOL!
Also…I am once again wearing these Le Specs tortoise shell mirrored sunnies I can’t get enough of! Great alternative to my Ray Bans that I think I have been getting a tad bit sick of (shhh our little secret) :p
Oh Hey There…Fancy Meeting You Here 😉 Happy Monday! I am thrilled to say it was another gorgeous weekend in LA…warm weather, sunshine + temperatures that feel like spring! Nothing can make a gal happier 😉 Except maybe some new shoes, a new bag + even a new jacket! Safe to say last week was an awesome mail week! I am getting fully stocked for spring with some of my current on-trend favorites…Let’s first start with this cute suede fringe jacket from ShopPinkBlush.com! It’s a great transition piece for winter to spring and with the fun fringe flair it matches perfectly with any look and adds a little bit of an edgy feel (totally LA style).
I styled it for spring with this white chiffon dress…taking an otherwise dressy piece and dressing it down for a night out or even brunch with the gals.
Since I always enjoy a little Pop Of Color I decided to bring this Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace out to play (which I haven’t worn in f o r e v e r!! I love discovering old pieces + making them feel like new again!)
There comes a time when you find a pair of shoes that are literally ‘To Die For‘ AND are perfect for every single outfit…these tan chunky ankle strap heels ♥ I mean…I think I am in love! (if this is what love feels like that is haha)
Another thing I am currently ‘Falling Head Over Heels For‘? This Nicole Lee US clutch!! When Nicole Lee approached me about sending a few pieces I was super pumped and when I got this tropical print envelope clutch this week I was beyond thrilled…it reminds me of a style that Gucci had made a few seasons ago…I officially found the ‘Look For Less‘ version here! I also found two styles I like (from YSL + Rebecca Minkoff).
