And the holiday weekend has unfortunately come to a close…Back to the rise and grind (ugh isn’t that the worst? A Monday after a nice, relaxing holiday weekend…#LegitTorture). I successfully survived my first 4th Of July in LA…naturally it was filled with outfit shoots, frozen yogurt and some fireworks (because I don’t care where I am living…a 4th Of July requirement for me is to see fireworks…Like I said, I am still a kid inside :p)
I was so happy when I was searching through my photo library last night and found this outfit shoot. It’s one of the final looks my brother shot of me before my big move to LA and I seriously miss him and his photography skills everyday. He is witty, funny, super smart and has the patience (on most days haha) to deal with me…a tough fete for anyone but he’s always been pretty supportive so being in LA without him (especially since it is his dream to live here) is kind of weird in a way…I’m waiting for Matt to join Missy on Melrose :p
On to a happier topic…my outfit! I love this look for work or play. The multi-colored skirt (similar…mine is Prabal Gurung for Target which is no longer available) is an instant ‘pop’ for a day to night look and the way I styled it here with this black sweater, black ankle strap heels and a bright red Rebecca Minkoff bag is a great office to happy hour transition outfit!
And of course I had to wear some shades to match the color of my bag and the hues in my skirt…red aviators it is 😉 See you can still wear your ‘red’ even after the 4th Of July!
